IHM Facilities
These two facilities offer to our companions on the journey, lay and religious, a place to pray, to seek peace and silence, and to find God in study, meditation, conferences, retreats, centering prayer, renewal days and weekends, workshops, lectures, and simple times of silence. We invite you to come apart and to let the Holy Spirit speak to your heart. Villa Maria House of Studies, the Motherhouse of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, was moved from West Chester to Immaculata, Pennsylvania in 1966. The motherhouse chapel of the Sacred Heart is perhaps the most beautiful area of this structure, if not the most inspiring. The windows featured throughout this site are located in this chapel. Hospitality is a special virtue that the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary strive to practice in their daily lives. The spirit of joy and welcoming others among them are two motivating factors that prompted the establishment of the IHM Spirituality Center at Immaculata and the IHM Conference Center in Bryn Mawr.
